Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc. is looking for a motivated individual to grow with our team as a Developmental Sales Agronomist at our Hills, Iowa location.

About the Job:
As a Developmental Sales Agronomist, you will work alongside our team of experienced Agronomy Sales Representatives to learn sales strategies and work with our customers, while enhancing your knowledge of crop protection products, crop nutrient products, seed marketing, and operation efforts. This role offers the opportunity to utilize and strengthen your skills in sales, operations, and professional development.
The Developmental Sales Agronomist is a full-time position, located at our office in Hills, Iowa and reports directly to the Vice President of Fertilizer Services.
Responsibilities:
Work with agronomy sales representatives to utilize crop protection products, crop nutrient products, precision ag technology and agricultural knowledge to help growers satisfy their agronomy needs
Establish and maintain effective knowledge for promotion of new products
Coordinate with supervisor and/or operations manager to deliver crop nutrient products including chemicals and/or fertilizers, crop protection products and/or seed
Collect soil tests and submit for analysis
Ensure that all federal and state regulations are being followed
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must have an associates or bachelor's degree in an agricultural related field
Previous agronomy experience is a plus
Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain one is preferred. Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are a plus
Commercial pesticide applicator license and/or ability to obtain one is preferred
Forklift certification or ability to obtain one is required
Must be willing to work extended hours during the busy seasons (approximately April - June and September - December)
Ability to compute basic math
