Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Andover, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Andover, Massachusetts. This role is within the insurance industry and will involve preparing applications and endorsements for evaluation and entry into the computer system, handling requests and reviews of various reports, and providing support to agents and field personnel. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data entered into the system and assisting in the sorting of incoming mail. Strong skills in MS Office and administrative office tasks are required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare new, Umbrella & Watercraft Applications for evaluation and approval, ensuring their correct entry into the computer system

• Handle endorsements for underwriter evaluation and approval, and their subsequent entry into the computer system

• Request and review necessary reports such as Clue, Score PPC, Gus, MVR, SDIP, and Form Letters

• Maintain comprehensive and current rating manuals, Protection codes, City codes, and Direct bill listings as well as up-to-date information of relevant procedures

• Enter change requests, renewal changes, cancel/rewrites, BOR’s into the computer system

• Review and proofread new lines and endorsements following entry into the computer system for accuracy

• Assist in the sorting of incoming mail per the posted schedule

• Provide quotes and assistance via phone calls, emails, and faxes to our agents and field personnel

• Perform other pertinent duties as directed to contribute to the smooth operation of the department/company. Requirements • Hold at least 1 year of experience in an administrative role or similar field

• Proficient in using MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Demonstrated experience in Administrative Office tasks such as scheduling, planning, and organizing

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• High level of discretion and confidentiality for sensitive information

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Proven track record of punctuality and reliability
