Workplace Climate - focused on the improvement of unit climate
Retention - preemptive strategies to prevent the loss of valued faculty
Leadership Development - skill and career development for faculty leaders at all levels
Our 15+ person team supports these four areas through research and evaluation, programming, and administration efforts.Visit our website (https://advance.umich.edu/) to learn more about our work and the team.
Reporting formally to the Director of Programming and Administration, in this position, you will provide high-level senior strategic project management building upon the history of partnering with units across campus and building a framework to expand existing programs. You will facilitate program discussions with the ADVANCE Director, Deans and DEI Leads across campus in units that ADVANCE may not currently be working with or has not worked with recently and/or are historically less well-served by ADVANCE. Enhancing coordination of efforts, promoting greater engagement across campus, and building relationships with new partners will allow ADVANCE to serve a broader range of units and foster more direct connections to DEI-focused entities within units. The ADVANCE Program embraces a hybrid work model with a standard 3 days on campus and 2 remote days for full-time staff appointments. Employees are welcome to work additional days in the office. Additionally, we offer flexible scheduling with core work hours between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. This position is a 5-year term-limited position with the option to extend with satisfactory performance and available funding.
