Cloud Network Engineer

Role Overview:

As a member of the Cloud Operations team, you will support and coordinate the ongoing operational activities

(troubleshooting, tuning, compliance, patching, deployment, monitoring, reporting) for our solutions and services.

Day to day responsibilities will include ensuring that our solutions are resilient, available, healthy, and performing

well.

As Network Engineer you’ll develop and maintain a modern network architecture, focused on low latency

and high availability.

This role will be focused on operational excellence and will work to continuously improve the overall customer

solution experience.

Position Responsibilities

• As Network Engineer you’ll develop and maintain a modern network architecture, focused on low latency and high availability.

• As a member of the Cloud Operations team, you will support and coordinate the ongoing operational activities (troubleshooting, tuning, compliance, patching, deployment, monitoring, reporting) for our solutions and services.

• Day to day responsibilities will include ensuring that our solutions are resilient, available, healthy, and performing well.

• This role will be focused on operational excellence and will work to continuously improve the overall customer solution experience.

• Follow DevOps practices, automate infrastructure activities, documents standards and procedures.

• Drive existing automation frameworks forward to benefit automation across multiple products and if needed create new frameworks.

• Automate software development processes, including build, test, and deployment.

• Coding using Python and AWS cloud formation.

• Ability to learn to use new tools, and quickly become a subject matter expert.

Key Requirements

• You have 6+Years of overall experience.

• You have experience in providing technical guidance / leading small project teams.

• You have deep knowledge & experience with internet protocols of all layers (e.g., IP, IPv6, TCP/UDP, DNS, BGP), including Web protocols (http/https).

• Experience with Linux networking configuration and tuning.

• Problem solving / troubleshooting in complex network environments is a challenge you love.

• Experience with Cloud Operations / DevOps projects.

• You have experience supporting large scale commercial or government production cloud environment.

• Knowledge of network and application security, infrastructure hardening, security baselines, webserver security. Experience with scripting, including Python, is welcome.

• You have a solid understanding of Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS) network components /concepts.

• You have knowledge in container technologies, deployment and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Cluster API), (Optional-Good to have)

• You have a basic understanding of CI/CD and deployment of infrastructure ascode using Terraform.
