We are looking for:

We are currently looking for an Instrument/Electrical Craft Supervisor who will lead the instrument/electrical craft group at the Borger plant to ensure the optimum performance of the instrument and electrical systems. He/She will report directly to the Technical Manager and have direct supervision responsibilities for the Instrument/Electrical union craft.

We count on you for:

Main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.

  • Assign daily instrument/electrical craft work activities to insure plant operating continuity for the Ryton plant

  • Coordinate work schedules in various plant areas based on job priority with various work groups.

  • Assist with requisition of materials for instrument/electrical maintenance.

  • Coordinate activities of instrument/electrical and contract maintenance personnel for instrument/electrical craft activities part of plant turnarounds and/or outages.

  • Initiate improvements in techniques of repair and improvement in materials.

  • Maintain maintenance repair history on instrument/electrical equipment systems.

  • Ensure that preventive and predictive maintenance repairs are performed as scheduled.

  • Advise engineering on installation status of capital jobs.

  • Ensure that work assignments are performed safely and efficiently.

  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis to reduce repetitive maintenance.

  • Provide appropriate training for new hires and existing craft employees.

  • Conduct safety meetings to promote safety awareness and practices.

  • The aptitude to learn DCS controls and maintain the overall site control system hardware and software

  • Work in a team environment with Process Control Engineers to maintain the overall site control system hardware and software.

  • Provide backup/weekend coverage for DCS Engineering

You will bring:

Basic Qualification:

  • Operations or maintenance experience gained by working in a petrochemical facility.

  • Experience with safety systems related to personal safety and process safety such as MOC, PHA, Energy Isolation (LOTO), Behavioral Based Safety observations, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a science related field or equivalent gained from past experience doing instrument/electrical work in a petrochemical manufacturing facility.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role.

  • Experience with Industrial Control System, Distributed Control Systems (DeltaV)

  • Process control development and implementation

  • PID tuning and implementation

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:

  • Strong supervisory and technical skills

  • Strong computer background

  • Able to work independently and effectively with a diverse group of hourly craftsmen, operations personnel and engineering staff.

  • Good communication skills

  • Good problem solving skills

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 per year.

  • Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.

  • Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
