  • Instrument Technicians needed at our Borger, Tx location.

  • NCCER & Resume MUST be submitted with application to be considered.

  • MUST have at least 10 years of experience as an Instrument Technician.

  • Interviews will be conducted by District Manager for all Qualified applicants.

  • DISA U/A & BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED.

  • Clean Shave Facility.

  • MUST be willing to work under fresh air.

  • Perdiem & Travel Pay provided upon meeting distance requirements.

An Instrumentation Specialist must possess the knowledge and skill to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, test and repair instrument devices used to measure and control temperature, flow, pressure, and level in industrial processes. Technician must be able to troubleshoot “on-line” instruments in running industrial process plants.

Essential Duties:

  • Work independently from drawings, schematics, diagrams, and manuals.

  • Familiar with instrument symbols and abbreviations utilized in instrument loop drawings, piping, and instrument drawings (PIDS) and flow diagrams.

  • Safely use all test equipment required to troubleshoot, test, and calibrate temperature, pressure, flow and level transmitters, indicators and controllers.

  • Familiar with logic and operational concepts involved in pneumatic and electronic instrument control loops.

  • Familiar with the installation of tubing and fittings used in conjunction with high/low pressure sensing lines, air supplies and purges for instrument devices.

  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices as it pertains to the instrument technician’s scope of work.

  • Knowledge of use, limitations and maintenance of all Personal Protective Equipment required for the assigned work.

  • Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with working form elevated work areas and personnel lift equipment.

  • Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with the assigned work including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, Confined Spaces, Emergency Action Plans, Safe Work Permits, Incident Reporting, and Hazcom procedures.

  • Knowledge of specific units their hazards and processes

  • Be able to efficiently navigate the permit process, sign in units, gain trust of unit operators while working on their equipment.

  • SIS certified.
