Job Description:

Primary Responsibilitie s (Inventory):

  • Execute (food and human) safety practices and procedures

  • Provide support to internal customer service (production)

  • Preform accurate inventory cycle counts as required to meet corporate guidelines for warehouse bins

  • Preform additional inventory cycle counts to support accuracy verification for internal department customers

  • Operate RF scanner/VMU functions

  • Maintain forklift certification four different forklift equipment (sit down, stand up, stand –up reach, order picker)

  • Proper movement, rack storage, staging, and truck loading

  • Report to lead/supervisor and/or correct any material shortages or damages immediately

Secondary Responsibilities (Receiving)

  • Load/unload raw materials from multiple warehouse rack/trailer locations (cooler, freezer and dry storage)

  • Check and report materials for shortages, damage and any deficiencies upon inbound and unload of material

  • Responsible for trailer inspection (as needed)

  • Move materials to warehouse storage for future production usage by using (FIFO) first in first out rule

  • Create and apply accurate storage label for correct inbound materials for scanning/storage that ensure FIFO, material expires, correct quantities and proper storage rules are followed

  • Move materials from warehouse inbound dock to warehouse storage location, freezer, cooler or temporary staging with the use of forklift equipment

  • Stacks pallets, arranges materials as directed, while adhering to safety guidelines

  • Complete paperwork legibly and accurately

  • Maintain clean and organized work environment according to 5S guideline

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read in English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions. Simple use of computer scanning devices, adjustable measuring instruments. Check reports, forms, records and comparable data, where interpretation requires basic skills knowledge.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Able to work in a team focused environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Obtain forklift certification (sit down, stand-up, stand-up reach and order picker equipment).
