As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be exposed to different areas of McGraw Hill's integrated Global Supply Chain organization. This includes forecasting and inventory planning, global sourcing and contract management, logistics optimization and management, product distribution and labor planning, project management, business process design and improvement, quality management, spend analysis, and supply chain analytics. This position is responsible for identifying, acquiring, qualifying, analyzing, and distributing data in support of MHE's evolving physical and digital product Supply Chain Strategy as well as Forecasting, Supply Planning, and Sourcing operations. The Supply Chain Analyst works closely with multiple business and technical teams and will be reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Planning and Analytics. This position can be based at either our Columbus, OH or New York City offices. What you will be doing: Creating and maintaining queries, data sets, and analysis to monitor supply chain performance and evaluate trends. Supporting Demand & Supply Planners with forecasting, inventory analysis and reporting. Evaluating supplier performance. Performing ad-hoc/non-repetitive data analysis to support fact-based decision-making efforts. Developing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of reports related to supply chain management. Preparing information for senior management on supply chain spend and other metrics used to measure performance and manage the business. Defining standards and coordinating research and analysis activities across business teams to leverage effort as well as ensure consistency and accuracy. Conducting statistical analysis, develop machine learning methodologies, model estimation, and participate in internal research activities. Variance estimation of complex business metric, handling issues with heavy tailed distributions and extreme values Participating in continuous improvement projects. What we're looking for: Bachelor's Degree required preferably in or with a concentration in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, or Engineering. 2+ years of experience in a role with heavy emphasis on quantitative analysis and data analytics (Supply Chain and/or Finance experience preferred) or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience performing business intelligence, data warehousing, data mining, modeling, and data analysis work using SQL, Python, R, Hadoop, Alteryx, etc. Demonstrated experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI Experience with Oracle databases and/or Oracle EBS preferred. Advanced skills and experience using Excel (complex modeling, importing/linking datasets, using macros, VBA scripting, pivot tables, etc.) and Access (database design, data modeling, complex query building, reporting, etc.) preferred. Demonstrated problem-solving skills to analyze, interpret and synthesize large data sets with limited direction. Solution-driven, customer service mindset with the ability to multi-task and work agilely within tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as a member of a team. Proven ability to interact well with others to accomplish organizational objectives. Work Model: Hybrid with 70-80% Remote home office options, but commutable to our Columbus, OH or NYC office.
