POSITION OVERVIEW

The Patient Access Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the daily operations of All Care Health Center’s front office functions for the medical and behavioral health clinic.

SCHEDULE AND PAY

This is a full-time (40-hour) position.

Clinic Open: Monday – Thursday 8AM - 7PM, Friday 8AM – 5PM. This position will be primarily 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday, but may require late night coverage in certain circumstances.

Salary pay range is $55,000-$60,000 based on education and experience.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides general supervision to medical patient access representatives:

  • Managing work schedules;

  • Approving time cards, time off requests etc.;

  • Evaluating performance via routine performance appraisals and competencies;

  • Conducting initial and ongoing training;

  • Coaching, counseling and disciplining when required.

  • Models high-quality and patient-centered customer service while r outinely interacting with patients to maintain awareness of needs and satisfaction of service

  • Responds to escalated patient matters using de-escalation and trauma-informed care techniques.

  • Ensures health center compliance with all sliding fee regulations.

  • Responsible for responding and resolving patient complaints.

  • Builds and manages provider schedules in practice management system.

  • Ensures adequate staffing to handle patient phone call volume and tracking phone system reporting data.

  • Responsible for monitoring the accuracy of patient information data input into the electronic health system.

  • Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and other third-party payer guidelines.

  • Oversees transactions of daily cash reconciliations.

  • Develops standards and provides systems to monitor and evaluate front desk functions, and assumes responsibility for designing methods to improve

  • Other duties as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field is required. Five years of experience in medical front office or enrollment supervision may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • At least three (3) years prior experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting

  • At least one (1) year of supervisory/management experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
