Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance; define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments

  • Prepare, produce, and validate daily, weekly, and monthly reports specifically to measure, monitor, and alert the business in cases of unforeseen spikes, dips, trend changes

  • Monitor payment activity for different payment methods

  • Work with payment vendors, including but not limited to various payment credit card processors, card orgs (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex), alternative payment methods (i.e. PayPal), and pre-paid card vendors to ensure payments are processed correctly.

  • Audit customer accounts to ensure payments process correctly, posting to the customer's billing account

  • Assists in defining and building requirements for different payment initiatives

  • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and report automation using various methods, i.e. databases, spreadsheets, external data sources, IT development, and execute changes to systems with little or no impact

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business; analyze, identify, and implement potential process and system enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports.

  • Design and implement reporting alerts to monitor for unforeseen spikes, dips, or trend changes in key business metrics

  • Analyze and interpret trends in metrics to Identify opportunities for improving existing processes to reduce risk and fraud while improving collection and customer satisfaction

  • Perform special projects, research, analysis, and presentations at the request of senior management

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics

  • 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; a demonstrated ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide a clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills

  • Knowledge of Google office suite including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions

  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, experience with Tableau a plus

  • Good understanding of the payment lifecycle and experience in one of the areas of Billing, Collection, Risk or Fraud is a plus

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $83,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
