Trinity Health Clinical Support Coordinator, Operating Room in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Description:

This position is 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts Monday - Wednesday (may require other days as needed). Hours: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm

· Initiates and receives communications from Nursing Unit Director or designated Charge Nurse and Nursing Unit staff verbally, via telephone, mail, pneumatic tube, and computer system.

· Demonstrates skills and knowledge to effectively communicate with patients or their families to meet the needs of the population served.

Assembles new charts, records specified clinical information, files reports, imprints forms in clinical record, checks discharge chart for completion by nurse responsible, maintains patient records.

· Operates computer for transcribing diagnostic orders and other computer transactions as resented.

· Maintains pertinent hospital data and records.

· Orders and maintains supplies for the nursing unit.

· Responds and contributes to written and oral communications.

· Actively participates in all Codes and drills as scheduled.

· Attends, participates, and supports in-service education programs.

· Complies with departmental and hospital- wide policies and procedures.

· Performs other job-related duties within job scope as requested by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduate.

  • Certificate of satisfactory completion of a formal program of instruction as a Unit Clerk preferred.

  • Good customer-service and communication skills.
