Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in the healthcare industry, specifically within hospitals and social assistance. The role is based at our facility in Boca Raton, Florida. As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, this role has a significant impact on the efficient operation of our healthcare facility and the satisfaction of our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome

• Manage the patient check-in and check-out process, ensuring accurate and efficient verification of demographic information and updating patient records as required

• Coordinate and manage patient appointments, handling scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment conflicts with due diligence

• Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system

• Verify patient insurance coverage and handle collection of co-payments or fees as required

• Assist patients in completing necessary forms and paperwork

• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, or route calls to the appropriate staff members

• Manage patient inquiries via email or online portals, providing timely responses

• Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy policies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information in the EHR system

• Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including tasks such as faxing, scanning, filing, and sorting mail.

The role requires skills in Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medical software, Medisoft, Microsoft Excel, Billing Functions, Charts - Graphs, Chiropractic, Clinical Trial Operations, Insurance, and Receptionist Duties. Requirements • Proficiency in using healthcare software such as Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medical software, and Medisoft

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, particularly for creating Charts and Graphs

• Experience in handling Billing Functions in a healthcare setting

• Familiarity with Chiropractic practices and procedures

• Understanding of Clinical Trial Operations

• Ability to navigate Insurance processes within the healthcare industry

• Previous experience in Receptionist Duties, preferably within a medical or healthcare setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion

• High level of organization and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Commitment to providing high-quality patient service

• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
