$88,900 - $118,500

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

Directions: Travel 12 kms south of Grande Prairie on Resources Road.

Purpose

The Operations Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination of operations and maintenance activities. This includes outage planning, troubleshooting plans, and sustainable improvements, toward achieving business results in his/her area. The individual will provide leadership to all facets of the production process; help build and support a high-performance work system; and must support and exemplify the vision and organizational values of International Paper Grande Prairie Mill.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Promote and support a safe and engaging culture.

  • Provide leadership to troubleshoot maintenance and operational issues.

  • Lead, facilitate and document daily MWS meetings.

  • Champion and facilitate MWS meetings for: daily/ weekly planning; routine and PMO outages: and annual outages.

  • Screen work notifications.

  • Own and manage the work order backlog, including scheduling and leading quarterly backlog reviews.

  • Track and assist department in managing maintenance budget.

  • Develop Daily and Outage Planning Schedules using MS Project.

  • Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a supportive work environment.

  • Communicate plans and needs to front line leaders and other manufacturing team members.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs.

  • Lockout planning.

  • Assist APM in providing leadership and resources to support engagement and a high-performance work team.

  • Maintain and develop team relationships to ensure team member relations, efforts and processes are in place that maximize motivation and the desire to work at Grande Prairie.

  • Help develop, demonstrate and support an organizational culture based upon values of empowerment, high involvement, and participative work force in a customer and quality focused organization.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Engineering degree and relevant work experience preferred.

  • Proficient in SAP.

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and system-based work practices.

  • Strong commitment to safety in all aspects of business operations.

  • Excellent interpersonal leadership skills and ability to motivate others.

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and skills.

  • Good written and verbal communications skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project).

  • Action Oriented, Drive for Results, Organizing, Priority Setting, Problem Solving, Technical Learning, Timely Decision Making
