Where the chemistry happens…

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation and technical support needed to execute the required production plan for ECoat Paste production. You will also demonstrate strong leadership in safe plant operation and adherence to BASF Process Safety rules and policies. You will play an important role in driving standardization across shifts, optimizing cycle times, providing process expertise, and working with maintenance for timely resolution of production issues. Additionally, you will lead troubleshooting efforts and provide solutions when problems arise.

You Create Chemistry By...

  • Partnering with Operations to maintain safe operation of ECoat Paste processes.

  • Identifying and leading projects to debottleneck and/or otherwise improve cost and processes.

  • Providing troubleshooting support, including off-hours support, for processes to safely resume production during production issues.

  • Being called upon to troubleshoot and improve batch execution and related automation.

  • Assisting and supporting the Production Supervisor to maintain safe operation and reliability of the plant.

  • Clearly communicating processes and requirements to site personnel and as part of projects.

  • Providing technical guidance and root cause analysis facilitation for investigations.

  • Demonstrating technical responsibility for all plant trials in ECoat Paste.

  • Delivering solutions for recurring process issues.

If you...

  • Possess a bachelors in chemical engineering.

  • Have 5+ years experience in chemical production facility.

  • Lean/Six Sigma experience and/or certification required.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing required.

  • Have excellent computer skills and DeltaV automation knowledge.

  • Are familiared with process equipment and instrumentation.

  • Have solid problem-solving skills, experience in root cause failure analysis. Solid continuous improvement expertise.

  • Have a strong understanding of Process Safety Concepts and their applications and familiarity with EHS procedures/standards, including PSM.

  • Have an excellent communication skills and interpersonal understanding. Able to work well as an individual contributor while collaborating cross-funtionally.
