Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work on a variety of machine types, including CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, CNC Machining Centers, Robotics, and Grinders across a range of brands. Your role includes troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding mechanical systems such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems, spindles, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, valves, hydraulic cylinders, and hydraulic pumps. Daily, you will use a computer or tablet to log work orders and maintenance in the MMS system, and prioritize repairs based on the machinery's value stream. This is a contract position for a duration of 6 months, fully on-site in Lafayette, Indiana. During the first 2-4 weeks, expect 40 hours per week during daytime for training, after which you will be assigned to an off-shift schedule.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lafayette, Indiana.

Work Environment

The role is situated in a climate-controlled, clean machine shop production environment. Working hours are off-shift, with the options being 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 11:30 pm) or 3rd shift (11:30 pm - 7:30 am). Candidates must be open to both shifts and will be assigned to their regular shift following the training period.
