Description

A leading Hospital in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Hospital Admission Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring their hospital admissions process is smooth and seamless.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients upon arrival and provide an overview of the hospital admission process.

2. Gather necessary patient information and complete admission paperwork accurately.

3. Verify insurance coverage and communicate information to patients clearly.

4. Liaise with medical professionals to ensure all necessary records and approvals are in place.

5. Resolve patient concerns and answer questions about their admission and stay.

6. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

7. Collaborate with the patient accounts team to ensure accurate billing.

8. Provide exemplary customer service to patients and their families.

9. Follow hospital policies and procedures at all times.

   Requirements

10. Previous experience in hospital admissions or a similar patient-facing role is a plus.

11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

12. Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and integrity.

13. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is desirable.

14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, and other hospital database systems.

15. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

16. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
