Role Overview

As a Director in the ISV ANZ Cloud Sales Engineering team, you will be playing a pivotal role in helping ISVs modernize, optimize, and enhance their applications. Working closely with Sales, you will be providing direction, leadership, and specialist knowledge to Cloud Engineering team to assist in designing, demonstrating, and deploying solutions that address customer business problems and drive Oracle Cloud customer consumption through accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services.

You'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of ISV Customers and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, with a keen focus on modernizing and enhancing ISV applications.

You'll be managing of a blended team of Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers, collaborating to bring cutting-edge solutions to our customers.

You will be responsible for directing and managing resources, typically through others, to work with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design and implement solutions for customers.

This is a sales adjacent role, and you will be required to forecast consumption growth, participate in sales forecast and contribute towards account planning.

This is a customer facing role. You may be required to occasionally travel to customer locations and Oracle offices across ANZ

Responsibilities

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

  • Leadership experience with a strong growth mindset to drive the team achieve its business and development objectives.

  • Partner with sales teams and contribute towards driving consumption growth and new workloads.

  • Ability to forecast consumption growth, participate in sales forecast and contribute towards account planning.

  • Engage with the team in planning and executing strategic initiatives that drive innovation and business value for the customers.

  • Establish and communicate clear business objectives, metrics and plans to ensure attainment of business strategy.

  • Assist the team through leadership support and strategic liaison with customers, sales, product management and other LoBs

  • Strong Technical Experience in Cloud Architecture with background in any cloud hyperscaler as Solution Architect/Cloud Specialist/Cloud Engineering/Sales Consultant. Preferred: Solid understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services

  • Manages the implementation of solutions, ensures successful deployments, provides direction and oversees the support of customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services, resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Frequent interaction with C level.

  • Supporting in business development, demand generation and marketing activities

  • Ability to work in complex environments and navigate expectations and objections.

Preferred but not mandatory qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 10 years technical experience.

  • Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable.

  • 5 or more years of previous relevant technical management experience with computer applications and tools

  • Expertise in and an in depth and thorough knowledge of competitive and industry knowledge in the field of computer applications and tools; System and application design; Implementation of advanced product features; Project management; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments.

  • Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • 15+ years experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience.
