The Opportunity

The Rigging Specialist will lead and supervise on larger/more complex rigging events and assist the Rigging Manager with the planning process for all rigging events (plot reviews, equipment preparation, scheduling). The Rigging Specialist will also assist with rigging projects (safety, training, compliance, inspections) and general warehouse duties and event days.

Core Responsibilities

  • Gather and organize all rigging tools and equipment per event needs

  • Provide ground-rigging support and leadership to Rigging Teams on-site

  • Connect hoist and attachments to permanent rigging points attachments and truss, connect/run looms and control cable.

  • Supervising and delegating tasks to rigging team onsite ensuring all safety procedures are followed

  • Collaborate with venues and warehouse to ensure rigging equipment preparation and QC is complete, on event-to-event basis

  • Provide excellent service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers

  • Provide support for non-rigging related activity as availability/skillset allows

Your Background

  • Strong Experience in a similar role

  • HRWL with WP Intermediate Rigging or higher

  • Yellow card Scissor Lift Card

  • Vectorworks software experience (advantageous)

  • Ability to lead a team of Riggers

  • Test and Tag (advantageous)

  • Truck License (advantageous)

  • AV knowledge (LX/VX/AX) (advantageous)

  • Prep/return experience (favourable)
