Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Security consultant proficient in deploying IBM Security solutions to enterprise clients. This role requires collaboration with client subject matter experts to implement and optimize security platforms, including products from the IBM Security Verify portfolio that cover the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain, QRadar Suite from the SIEM domain, and other IBM Security products. The successful candidate will have experience in either Threat Management OR the IAM domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct IAM solution workshops, gather requirements, install/configure and testing of IAM solutions.

  • Lead initiatives to integrate IAM solutions with client systems, such as SAP and Active Directory, and implement Essential Eight compliance measures.

  • Lead the deployment of IBM Security solutions, focusing on QRadar Suite SIEM, SOAR, XDR and IAM, for large enterprise customers.

  • Define high-level designs and develop architectural documentation for QRadar and IAM deployments, working closely with IBM architects.

  • Configure and deploy QRadar consoles, Event Processors, and Flow processors, and support log source onboarding, including custom DSM development.

  • Install Red Hat Openshift to support QRadar Suite and SOAR deployments and deploy these solutions on Openshift.

  • Develop and optimize use cases within QRadar, including tuning and configuration, and deploy SOAR automation playbooks.

  • Implementing and developing IAM configurations that meet customer security requirements and understanding use cases

  • Integration of IBM products with other software components

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in IBM's Security Identity & Access security products, including planning, installation and configuration; OR

  • Experience in IBM QRadar Suite SIEM & SOAR Architecture, including planning, installation, and configuration.

  • Proficiency in SIEM administration, log/flow architecture, and managing different log types (Windows, Proxy, Network Devices, Database).

  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux for system administration and troubleshooting in QRadar environments.

  • Understanding of security protocols and standards; OIDC, SAML, PKI, MFA, FIDO, etc...

  • Deployment and operationalization of Red Hat Openshift.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Troubleshooting expertise

  • Excellent consultancy skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Preferred Skills:

  • Building custom Device Support Modules (DSMs), JSON, SQL, YAML, and REGEX experience.

  • Knowledge of IBM Cloudpak for Security.

  • Ability to consult on industry security trends and facilitate design workshops related to SIEM implementations.

  • Knowledge of Redhat Openshift.

  • Experience in Ansible, Gitlab/Github, CI/CD pipeline, and AWS

  • Expertise in writing Javascript and using REST API's to implement use cases

  • Understanding of frameworks like the Australian CDR and TDIF

Additional Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship and ability to work during AEST business hours.

  • NV1 Clearance or Above.
