Centrifugal Associates Group Engineer in Electrical Power Systems in New York, New York

• be responsible for overseeing different electrical construction projects undertaken by Centrifugal Associates in the New York City area.• • evaluate methods to reduce energy costs, and improve energy efficiency during the designing, building, and remodeling stages of construction.• • research renewable or alternative energy systems and technologies, such as solar thermal or photovoltaic energy and then consult with the company’s clients and other engineers ontopics such as leadership in energy and environment design and green buildings.• • perform every modeling, measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro- commissioning which helps improve the efficiency of an existing building’s equipment and systems.• • analyze, interpret, and create graphical representations of energy data, using engineering software.• • collect data for energy conservation analyses, using jobsite observation, field inspections, or submetering.• • create technical design drawings and electrical schematics using engineering software.• • collaborate closely with other engineers, architects, on-site electricians, and other professionals to direct the implementation of energy management projects.• be responsible for overseeing different electrical construction projects.• • evaluate methods to reduce energy costs, and improve energy efficiency during the designing, building, and remodeling stages of construction.• • research renewable or alternative energy systems and technologies, such as solar thermal or photovoltaic energy and then consult with the company’s clients and other engineers ontopics such as leadership in energy and environment design and green buildings.• • perform every modeling, measurement, verification, commissioning, or retro- commissioning which helps improve the efficiency of an existing building’s equipment and systems.• • analyze, interpret, and create graphical representations of energy data, using engineering software.• • collect data for energy conservation analyses, using jobsite observation, field inspections, or submeteringRequirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Energy Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered working with AutoCAD MEP(Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), AutoCAD P&ID (Mechanical plant design); REVIT; Bluebeam REVU; Navisworks Manage; Building information modeling (BIM); Matlab(programming); ERACS (Electrical Power Systems Analysis Software); CompactLogix system programming (Rockwell automation); ControlLogix system programing (Rockwellautomation)
