Summary

The Raw Scheduling Specialist is responsible for executing the raw product delivery plan in support of Raw Product Planner/Scheduler by coordinating raw deliveries with freight companies, loading crews, 3rd party companies, and plant production team. During the direct harvest season, the RSS will work directly with field representatives to monitor field samples and lay out direct delivery schedules. During the storage season they will oversee and supervise loading operations to ensure critical to quality benchmarks are achieved in the areas of personnel, safety, property damage, food safety/foreign material detection, and raw product quality. The RSS will understand production dynamics to ensure that raw deliveries support operational efficiencies. This role will also support and maintain the automated scale system, support raw accounting with scale/ticket issues, and oversee/supervise the 3rd party grading raw product for grower payment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Raw Scheduling.

  • Ensure that the interface with other support groups is conducted in a manner that is conducive with operational goals.

  • Monitors raw inspection for accuracy in grower payment and improve knowledge of raw quality to ensure production success.

  • Main point of contact for scheduling loading and delivery.

  • Directs and coordinates the use and scheduling of raw product to meet quality, cost, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Support distribution of delivery slip booklets to company and grower loading crews, either via field representatives or via site visits with company vehicle.

  • Provide harvest support in monitoring receiving activity at company storages and plant. Support training and supervision of temporary harvest labor.

  • Supports field department accounting staff in accuracy of raw delivery information and researching information issues.

  • Supports truck scale program trouble-shooting and upgrade needs in working with all impacted parties and Company IT personnel.

  • Performs reconciliation between scale tickets and executed delivery plan to ensure information consistency and accuracy.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Other Information

Background/experience in production agriculture preferred. Related experience and/or training could satisfy education requirement. Possesses and applies a broad understanding of inventory supply to support 24/7 operation. Demonstrated understanding of personal computers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Weekend and other non-standard business hours will be required.
