Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, is working with a well-known, household name in the automotive manufacturing industry , seeking a Manufacturing Technician to work 1st shift at facility in Pontiac, MI . This would be a 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension/conversion, paying $28/Hour + benefits.

Job Title: Electric Motor Manufacturing Technician

Location: Pontiac, MI 48240

Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension/conversion

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm

Pay: $28/HR + benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with manufacturing engineering to develop welding process for new motor designs.

• Build prototype and preproduction electric motors in accordance with the build schedule.

• Analyze motor defects, perform necessary repairs, and modify / build simple fixtures and tooling.

• Operate machine shop equipment and motor lab equipment: Lathe, Drill Press, Mill, Robotic Welder, Wire Forming Machines.

• Perform motor electrical testing, maintaining records of work performed, analyzing data collected, and reporting results.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or experience in mechanical or electrical activities

• 5+ hands-on mechanical experience

• Knowledge of assembly build processes in manufacturing

• Manufacturing knowledge of electric motors and theory of electric motors

• Prior prototype build experience
