The role:

Opportunities exist for a Mine Coal Preparation Sampler to join our team at our Lake Vermont site in Dysart. You will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and coal testing. Your will also conduct a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated and fully automated techniques. If the test is automated you may be required to analyse data and report results.

  • This role would suit a candidate wishing to pursue a career in the industry.

  • Full training will be provided. Previous experience in a fast-paced environment is highly advantageous.

  • Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.

  • Must live locally in the Dysart/Moranbah region or within travelling distance. There is also a bus that will take you to the camp site that leaves from Rockhampton.

Roster:

Permanent day roster 7/7 and 12 hour shifts with occasional need to cover night shifts.

What’s needed?

The following is advantageous but not necessary to be successful in the role:

  • Previous reporting experience within the coal industry is highly desirable

  • A QLD C Class drivers license and own transport (necessary)

  • Be reliable and able to work the occasional overtime

  • Hold a NSW drivers license to commute to and from work

  • An interest in gaining strong work experience in the Minerals industry
