As part of the Redwater Nitrogen Operations Reliability team, this position contributes to the success of the organization by ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of plants and associated equipment. This position is primarily responsible for supporting production by maintaining the efficient and safe daily operation of Redwater Nitrogen and Phosphate Plant to ensure they are on-stream, reliable, and available. This is achieved through reviewing vibration & Lube analysis data, and through implementing preventive maintenance practices that prolong equipment life.
Develop asset care plans for rotating equipment, identify bad actors, and facilitate root cause failure analysis.
Provide planning, scheduling, and project management on rotating equipment items for major plant outages, ensuring on time and on budget results.
Provide guidance and make recommendations regarding site equipment lubrication program
Develop repair and inspection work scopes, recommend overhaul and PM intervals, Develop and execute repair/fabrication/inspection procedures and QA/QC specifications
Provide technical reference information and specifications for Capital and Maintenance Project development
Diagnose machinery health issues using thermography, vibration analysis, tribology, oil analysis, and an in-depth knowledge of rotating equipment; create and present reports
Strong communication Skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree, and 2+ years of experience; OR
Two-year technology diploma, eligible for C.E.T or P.Tech certification with A.S.E.T, and 2+ years of experience; OR
Certified Red Seal tradesperson or power engineer eligible for C.Tech certification, and 8-10 years of technician experience
