Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Technician in the Central Engineering Department is accountable for sampling, analysis and reporting of process and environmental data, stewardship to the Laboratory Quality System, maintenance of the routine measurement systems and project support.

Key Tasks:

  • Process and product quality sample analysis meeting quality control standards

  • Data Management using SAP

  • Routine instrument operation, maintenance and calibration

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Mechanical aptitude is an asset

  • Working knowledge of basic titrimetric, colourimetric and gravimetric analytical principles

  • The ability to work independently at simultaneous tasks

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong customer focus

Essential Qualifications:

  • Chemical Technology Diploma and or B. Sc. Chemistry
