The Electrical Technologist Supervisor will report to the Chief Maintenance Engineer.
Performs required regulatory compliance checks, key procedure audits, area inspections, job observations and actively participates in the 4 key safety priorities. Ensure that safe work habits are enforced and instruct safe methods of doing work.
May be called upon to assist in technical training programs and implementation of approved procedures to achieve an efficient, reliable, and safe operation.
Oversee a team of technologist who to carry out the Maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, prototyping, repair, and commissioning of various electrical/electronic systems in the underground mine.
Assist in development of weekly and daily schedules/targets for team, work with maintenance & operations to prioritize and integrate work tasks.
Manage and prepare weekly/monthly reporting metrics.
Actively participates in the continuous improvement programs and initiatives for operational excellence, efficiency, effectiveness, safety, and cost reduction opportunities.
Maintain drawing request log, underground drawing index, and drawing system for mine engineering department.
Stay current with technological developments through attendance at applicable technical seminars and training sessions.
Review advances in industry to evaluate possible new technology applications to improve operations at Nutrien Rocanville.

Previous experience in an industrial automation setting is an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Previous Experience in a Rockwell Controls Environment is an asset
Cisco Networking Experience (CCENT/CCNA) is an asset
Experience with Hydraulics with relation to automation
Understanding of project controls, including estimation, planning/scheduling, cost control, change management and risk management
Experience with Historian (OSI PI) and OPC (Kepware) Software is an asset
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma with relevant experience
4-5 years’ of related industrial experience
Recognized Professional standing with applicable provincial association (i.e. P.Eng, A.Sc.T)
Ability to supervisor underground
