Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Governance, you will be part of a team responsible for the governance of master data and business policy, process and training documentation, tools and templates, compliance audits, system enhancements review and testing, data analytics and reporting with a focus on the continuous improvement and sustainability of Procurement performance.
The Strategic Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of the governance framework, including master data and business processes and for supporting internal customers with required audit, analytical, testing and reporting activities. You may lead moderately complex assignments and act as a resource to internal customers. This is an intermediate position which is expected to provide services in a timely and consistent manner to internal customers in Maintenance and Supply Management.
The Strategic ProcurementAnalystis part of the Center of Excellence Procurement Governance team.
What you will do:
Provide support for all matters relating to spare part, saleable material and service master data within existing ERP (Oracle and SAP) systems and data management tools (sparesFinder) within standard service level agreements, while ensuring that governance standards are maintained. This includes updating/ creating documentation and hosting training and support calls with internal customers.
Collect perform enterprise master data analysis and reporting against identified business metrics.
Conduct analysis of compliance to master data and business policies and standards and provide feedback to the business and to Governance on findings.
Provide root cause analysis and documentation to support audits on certain business key controls and processes, including SOX and supplier contract compliance.
Recommend enhancements to systems and processes as a part of master data and business process continuous improvement initiatives.
Continuous optimization of Procurement transactions in ERP systems and related software, including interfacing with IT and providing technical support and testing for support packs and system enhancements.
Coordinate the development of business process and master data policies, procedures & standards in partnership with the respective business owners and in compliance with the Governance Management of Change procedure.
Collaborate with respective business owners in the development of a training matrix and related materials to ensure proper communication and knowledge transfer of system and process improvements to internal customers.
Ensure the governance framework and proper approval workflow is applied when new, or changes to, master data or business processes requests are received.
Provide mentorship to individual team members to support continued development and the workload management of junior team members.
Support key department projects as a representative of the Governance team, as required.
Provide Sharepoint design and administrative support to Governance sites.
Travel to Nutrien facilities, as required.

Working knowledge of SAP/and or Oracle, with a minimum 3 years’ experience, including material and service master data, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, inventory documents, goods movements and blanket purchase or outline agreements
Solid skills in data analysis and manipulation including dealing with large complex datasets
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Knowledge of Procurement business practices with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in materials management, purchasing, warehousing or inventory control
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work with individuals that are geographically dispersed across different departments and work groups
Must be self-motivated and organized along with having the ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy and have a strong ability to work individually as well as in a team setting
Relevant degree, diploma or combination of education and business experience
