Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT, IBP, the Solutions Analyst, IT, IBP will work with business users to drive out business requirements and translate them into effective and efficient system solutions. The incumbent will gain an in-depth functional understanding of the business planning applications and how they facilitate business process. The Solutions Analyst, IT, IBP will collaborate with other members from the IT Sales and TD&L teams, the broader IT team, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that add value for Nutrien.

Key Tasks:

  • Serve as business facing system solution resource to collaborate on solution components required to meet business objectives

  • Act as a liaison between IT and our business partners to uphold a clear understanding of business requirements and to ensure functional deliverables align with the stakeholder needs

  • Own the solution design and work with IT partners to meet business needs

  • Define functional requirements for application development efforts and facilitate definition of project scope, goals and deliverables for application development vendors

  • Oversee and review testing plans and outcomes to validate proposed solution meets intent and is appropriate in response to business demand for change

  • Facilitate monthly IT sprint process for the Sales, Transportation, and IBP teams

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years practical experience in application solution design and analysis and a degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related equivalent. Applicants with less experience may be considered for this role

  • Experience in functional solution design and delivery across the ERP software development lifecycle

  • Proven capability and experience managing requirements gathering initiatives across multiple teams and business areas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with any of the following applications is considered an asset:

  • SAP IBP, SAP APO, SAP SD, JDA Demand Planner, JDA Supply Chain Planner, or other business planning application

  • SAP ECC (Sales & Distribution)

  • SAP HANA, SAP BW, or other data analytics software

  • PowerBI, Web Intelligence, Analysis for Office or similar
