Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union Branch Manager in Strongsville, Ohio

Job Summary:

 Directs the operations of a small Credit Union facility (usually four to six people) ensuring the branch meets all financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Profiles members to understand and meet current and future needs.
  • Maintains contact with members to build relationships. Cross-sells additional products to meet needs.
  • Opens all types of deposit accounts, takes consumer and mortgage loan applications and closes loans.
  • Reviews staff performance to sales and referral goals and coaches staff to increase skills.
  • Develops necessary monitoring tools within branch to ensure goals are tracked and met.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Visits parishes, schools, and Catholic organizations to develop relationships.
  • Conducts financial education sessions with members when appropriate.
  • Presents educational sessions to elevate members' financial acumen.
  • Directs, develops, motivates, hires, and disciplines branch personnel.
  • Administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Conducts one-on-ones with staff to coach to necessary performance levels, sets and monitors goals for each employee.
  • Develops programs and activities to help MSRs meet sales goals and to help teller line reach referral goals.
  • Works with Assistant Branch Manager to develop sales and management skills.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels are maintained in branch, ensuring a cohesive cross-trained team exists.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Conducts regular branch audits to be in compliance with all policies, procedures and government regulations.
  • Develops branch specific procedures, in alignment with credit union policies, to deliver consistent and accurate member service. Monitors delivery quality in branch and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitors branch activities to include transaction volume, teller errors, referrals, and new accounts.

Job Requirements:

  • A college degree in business, finance, or other related fields.
  • 2-5 years of similar or related experience.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and individuals) becomes necessary. Must have good communication skills.
