Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished, strategic, and visionary thinker for our Director of Vitality Distribution, to join our high performing team. As the Director of Vitality Distribution, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive distribution strategy, expanding market reach, and fostering strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership, industry expertise, and strategic acumen will play a key role in positioning Manulife as the market leader in the Canadian retail insurance landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a robust distribution strategy for Vitality by identifying market opportunities, setting clear objectives, and implementing initiatives to drive market penetration and revenue growth.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partners and distributors, leveraging a deep understanding of their unique needs and market dynamics to position Vitality for mutual success, sustained growth, and market leadership.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including product, marketing, and wholesaler teams, to ensure seamless alignment and maximize the effectiveness of distribution efforts, driving innovation and meeting evolving market demands.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights, leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and business development initiatives.

  • Create and deliver comprehensive distribution reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and achieve distribution targets.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of leadership and success in insurance distribution within the health and wellness industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of the market, distribution channels, and effective sales strategies.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and negotiate strategic partnerships

  • Strategic mindset, results-driven, and adept at developing and executing effective distribution strategies, with a keen focus on achieving and exceeding business objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees or industry certifications are a plus, complemented by extensive experience in wholesale distribution and business development within the health and wellness industry.

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the GTA and across Canada.
