Liberty Latin America Senior Network Security Engineer in Trincity, Trinidad and Tobago

What’s The Role

Responsible for the operational support of all aspects of client's Security platforms. The successful candidate should possess a solid understanding of Firewall, IPS, UTM services and be able to troubleshoot configuration and operational software problems across the platforms. Knowledge of multiple vendor technologies and platforms including Fortinet, Firewall ASA, SRX Juniper and CheckPoint.

What You´ll Do

  • Ability to conduct training sessions to share knowledge with peers and other support teams is necessary

  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for Security infrastructure within the solution team and mentor junior team members.

  • Support uptime and performance requirements of customer facing applications and respond urgently to issues impacting customer or organizational operations.

  • Investigate root cause of incidents.

  • Complete projects to manage and migrate infrastructure as required.

  • Support requirements include managing Internet facing sites and working within scheduled downtime.

  • Ability to work up to 50 hours per week and on-call rotation for weekends and overnight coverage.

  • Assist with project management responsibilities.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience supporting and administrating Security Appliances

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or Network Management

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.

  • Knowledge in security platforms Cisco ASA, Fortinet, CheckPoint, Mcafee and others.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of static and dynamic router.

  • Experience with troubleshooting in expert level of security solutions.

  • Desirable technical knowledge of other platforms Fortinet, for example Forti mail, FortiDDos, FortiAnalyzer and others.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and technical documentation skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline intensive environment.

  • Self-motivated and strong organizational skills.

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills

  • Demonstrate ability in configuration management.

  • Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills required to present department plans and activities to individuals and groups throughout the company.

  • Respond adequately to inquiries or complaints

  • Be sensitive to cultural differences among individuals and groups of persons

  • Successfully perform the planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position

  • Must be available to work outside of normal business hours to fulfill production and project needs, provide 7x24 on-call support on a rotating basis

  • Availability to travel
