Brokers International IT Specialist in Urbandale, Iowa

IT Specialist will utilize data and technology to solve real customer problems in ways that meet the needs of the business. The role will provide first line response for our internal customers, offering top of the line support and diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have a solid technological background but will also be able to add a personal touch to their customer interactions. They will find success by being detail oriented, process driven, able to plan effectively for the future and have excellent time management skills.

Essential Job Functions, other duties assigned

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers requiring assistance with information technology issues, problems and concerns.

  • Provides technical support, troubleshoots and resolves urgent technical issues and responds to help requests via phone and email. Identifies and escalates complex issues appropriately.

  • Set up, configure, install and maintain end user hardware, software and peripherals, including minor hardware repairs.

  • Responsible for diagnosing and resolving end user problems related to hardware, software, telephone, printer, network access, cables, VPN, email or Internet. Experience in audio/visual support preferred but not required.

  • Technology procurement, researching options, placing orders, tracking and installation

  • Support/maintain user accounts through Active Directory/O365 Admin portal including rights, permissions and groups

  • Creates and supports efficiencies,

Experience and Education

  • 2-3 years of experience in IT Tier 1 related fields. Tier 2 experience preferred but not required.

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
