Description Care Manager MSW, Providence St. Mary Medical Center- Walla Walla, WA The Admissions Coordinator-Case Manager coordinates the patient referral, admissions, and case management for the Acute Rehabilitation Unit in collaboration with the attending physiatrist. Works collaboratively with inter-disciplinary teams, both internal and external to the organization, to improve patient care through effective utilization and monitoring of healthcare resources and assumes a leadership role to achieve desired clinical, financial, and resource outcomes. Admissions responsibilities include reviewing, approving, or denying all patients referred for admission to the ARU, using developed admission criteria. Additionally, the admissions coordinator is responsible for insurance verification, obtaining insurance approval and attending rehabilitation physician assignment for all patients who are admitted to the ARU. Shift Details: Part-Time, Day Shift, 1040-10 Hour Daily Overtime 40 Hour Week Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Master's Degree: Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Bachelor's Degree: Nursing from an accredited program. Master's Degree: Social Work or other MS healthcare degree Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information. Three years: Clinical experience in acute care, skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation, or other healthcare setting. Preferred Qualifications: Admissions Coordinator experience. Experience with long term care regulations, Medicare guidelines, and Rehabilitation regulations. Why Join Providence?
